Biography

As one of the hottest young stars in comedy, Seth Rogen has gone from scene-stealing supporting character to bankable leading man in just a few short years. Born and raised in Vancouver, Rogen got his start in stand-up comedy as a teenager, and by the time he was 16, he finished second in the Vancouver Amateur Comedy Contest. Rogen moved to Los Angeles and was cast on two critically-acclaimed but short-lived television series executive produced by Judd Apatow, “Freaks and Geeks” and “Undeclared.” Rogen also worked as a staff writer on the latter and after its cancellation, joined the writing staff of Sacha Baron Cohen’s “Da Ali G Show,” for which the staff was nominated for an Emmy.

Apatow helped Rogen transition to film by giving him a plum supporting role and co-producer credit on the Steve Carrell-starrer “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” a sleeper hit that ultimately grossed more than $109 million domestically. Rogen and Apatow re-teamed with Rogen starring opposite Katherine Heigl in the 2007 smash “Knocked Up” that grossed more than $148 million in domestic box office receipts. Also in 2007, Rogen struck gold with a supporting turn in the teen comedy “Superbad,” which he co-wrote with friend Evan Goldberg.

Seth Rogen’s deadpan comedic style has earned him praise from both moviegoers and critics. By letting TSE arrange for a Seth Rogen appearance or Seth Rogen speaker engagement, you’re guaranteeing your event will include big laughs.

Seth Rogen Speaker

Seth Rogen proved he has master improvisational comedy skills with his largely improvised dialogue in “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” and “Knocked Up.” This means every Seth Rogen speaker appearance will be both wildly different and unique but still hilarious.

Seth Rogen Appearance

Other Seth Rogen appearances have included a hosting gig on “Saturday Night Live,” the films “Donnie Darko,” “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy” and “You, Me and Dupree” and voice work on “Shrek the Third,” “Horton Hears a Who” and “Kung Fu Panda.”

Seth Rogen Endorsement

Hollywood studios issued a huge Seth Rogen endorsement by naming the young star the lead actor, writer and executive producer of the likely blockbuster big-screen adaptation of the comic book “The Green Hornet.”
