When Carmen Electra moved to California in 1994, she wasn’t Carmen Electra. Instead, she was Tara Leigh Patrick from Sharonville, Ohio. However, after auditioning for an all-girl rap group during which she met Prince, the music legend persuaded her to change her name to Carmen Electra and record a solo album. While Electra’s professional singing career was short live, Carmen Electra became a star.
After being featured in a nude pictorial in Playboy magazine in 1996, Electra took over Jenny McCarthy’s role on MTV’s hit dating show Singled Out. There was also a Carmen Electra appearance as a cast member on Baywatch, and she returned to Baywatch in the 2003 reunion movie, Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.
A Carmen Electra appearance in Playboy magazine would happen four more times during her career, most recently in the January 2009 issue. Electra would also be the first woman invited as a celebrity guest photographer for the Playboy Cyber Club.
In addition to her TV work, a Carmen Electra appearance on the silver screen is not an uncommon occurrence. Electra has appeared in films such as Good Burger, Scary Movie, Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie, Date Movie, Starsky & Hutch, and Chaeaper by the Dozen 2.
Carmen Electra Speaker
An important Carmen Electra speaker topic, aside from her successful career as a model and actress, is the personal family troubles she had to overcome in 1998 when her mother died of a brain tumor, followed shortly after by the death of her older sister from a heart attack.
Carmen Electra Appearance
In addition to all of her television and movie appearances, there was a Carmen Electra appearance in the video game Def Jam: Fight for New York and ESPN NFL 2K5.
