Paige Hemmis had always dreamed of making her living helping others. As a star on the hit reality Television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, she gets to do just that. Hemmis’ began her career building homes for others, although she had never been given any formal carpentry training. It was during this experience that she picked up on all aspects of the construction industry ranging from electrical to plumbing to drywall. She later auditioned for the show Monster House in order to win tools to build more homes. It was during an appearance on this show that she was eventually discovered by the producers of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. In addition to her role on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Paige has also launched Tuff Chix, a line of books, tools, work wear, and accessories for women. While she rarely has time off between Extreme Makeovers, the free time she does have is usually spent volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and Keep America Beautiful’s ‘Great American Cleanup.
