Charlie Trotter is a famous chef and restaurateur based in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout his entire life Trotter has had a passion for cooking and so he decided to attend the California Culinary Academy after graduating from college. After graduating from the Academy Trotter spent the next few years traveling and working throughout Florida and Europe. In 1987 Trotter opened his first restaurant Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago, which was named the fifth best restaurant in the United States by Restaurant Magazine. Today he owns and operates two additional restaurants: Restaurant Charlie in Las Vegas and C in Los Cabos, Mexico. He is also working on opening a fourth restaurant in New York City. In addition to running his various restaurants, Trotter has also written over seven cookbooks, and hosted numerous cooking shows for the Food Network and PBS, including The Kitchen Sessions with Charlie Trotter.
