Chris Cognac developed his love for food and cooking at a young age, while working at a local restaurant in his hometown called Rizzo’s. In 1988, Chris joined the Army where he served in Desert Storm. When his service was over he briefly worked in different restaurants as a chef, before joining the police force. In addition to serving on the police force for the past fourteen years, Chris now works for the Food Network, as the host of Hungry Detectives, where he takes viewers to the best local restaurants in cities all over the United States.
