Known as the Royal Chef, Darren McGrady spent fifteen years as the personal chef to Queen Elizabeth II of England, and then to Princess Dianna. Over his time at the palace, McGrady cooked for the royal family and their guests on a daily basis. He also catered numerous dinners, lunches, and banquets for foreign heads of state including President’s Clinton, Ford, Bush, and Regan. His duties also included traveling with the royal family to Windsor Castle, Sandringham House, and Balmoral Castle as well as on the royal yacht Britannia on royal tours around the world. After Princess Dianna’s death Darren decided to pursue a new challenge, by moving to the United States to work as a private chef in Dallas, Texas. Today, in addition to working as a private chef and teaching cooking lessons, Darren devotes much of his free time to working for causes that the Royal Family supports, including shelters for battered women, charities for children with chronic illnesses and diseases, and breast cancer foundations. He is also a board member for the Pink Ribbons Crusade, a non-profit organization that promotes breast cancer awareness.
