Gale Gand is a talented pastry chef, cookbook author, and TV personality. She is currently the executive pastry chef at the renowned restaurant Tru. Over her career she has won numerous awards and recognitions including the Outstanding Pastry Chef by the James Beard Foundation, Pastry Chef of the Year by Bon Appetite Magazine, and one of Food and Wines Top Ten Best Chefs in 1994. She is known by most as host of the Food Network’s long running all-dessert show, Sweet Dreams. She was given the role without even interviewing, after being a long time, repeat guest on another food network program. In addition, she is the author of seven best-selling cookbooks, and even owns her own root beer company, Gale’s Root Beer.
