Lorena Garcia is the executive chef and owner of Elements, a restaurant located in the heart of Miami’s design district. The menu features an eclectic blend of Latin and Asian inspired dished, that reflect Garcia’s upbringing. Although cooking is now Garcia’s true passion, she originally pursued a career in law. After graduating from Santa Maria University with a degree in law, and practicing for several years, Garcia decided it was time for a change. She enrolled in Johnson and Wales University, where she graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts. Lorena then embarked on a worldwide tour of great food cities, where she eventually landed a job in Paris at the Ritz Carlton. Following this, she worked as a chef in several cities including Italy, Japan, Korea, Thailand and China.

Her most recent work includes hosting a regular cooking segment called MGM’s “Casa Club TV” channel, shown both in the U.S. and Latin America, and a weekly segment on Telemundo’s national morning show, “Cada Dia com Maria Antonieta” called “Cooking with Nestle.”
