Marcela Valladolid was raised to be passionate about food. Growing up she spent most of her time at her aunts cooking school in Tijuana, Mexico, where she learned the basics about all aspects of cooking. After graduating high school Marcela realized that she too wanted to pursue a career in food full time, and so she enrolled in the Los Angeles Culinary Institute and later the Ritz Escoffier Cooking School in Paris as a French Pastry Chef. When she returned to Mexico she started her own catering company, and also taught children about cooking, through her aunt’s school. Today, Marcella resides in San Diego, where she hosts her own cooking show, Mexican Made Easy.
