Biography

Over the past four decades, Woody Allen has established himself as arguably the most prolific writer and director in the film industry. By releasing a film nearly every year, Allen has amassed a body of work that runs the gamut from comedy and drama to experimental and homage and has earned him three Academy Awards. Two of those, for Best Original Screenplay and Best Director, were for his 1977 Best Picture-winner “Annie Hall,” which set the bar for romantic comedies. Allen also received an Oscar for the screenplay for “Hannah and Her Sisters” in 1986. With 14 nominations, he is the most-nominated screenwriter of all time. At 19, Allen wrote scripts for “The Ed Sullivan Show” and turned to stand-up in 1960. Throughout his career, he has written plays and short stories. Although now in his 70s, Woody Allen shows no signs of slowing down as proven by his 2005 film “Match Point,” considered one of his best.

A Woody Allen appearance or Woody Allen endorsement would add value to any event. TSE can help you make that a reality by handling all the Wood Allen speaker negotiations.

Woody Allen Speaker

Woody Allen speaker engagements could cover any topic. The subjects of his films are far-reaching, from the early days of radio (“Radio Days”) to cinema in the Great Depression (“The Purple Rose of Cairo”) to upper crust Britons (“Match Point”).

Woody Allen Appearance

A Woody Allen appearance onscreen occurs in nearly all of his films, often as a version of his real life persona as a neurotic intellectual. A more surprising Woody Allen appearance takes place each Monday night at New York’s Carlyle Hotel, where he plays clarinet with The Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band.

Woody Allen Endorsement

The most famous Woody Allen endorsement without a doubt is New York City. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Allen has lived in the city his entire life and has made it the backdrop of the majority of his films. Woody Allen endorsed the city most memorably in his 1979 film “Manhattan.”
