William Dorfman is recognized as one of the country’s leading celebrity dentists. After graduating from UCLA in 1980 he went on to receive his dental degree in 1983 from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. After graduating he completed a residency at a dental hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland, and in 1985 returned to the United States to start his own dental practice. In 1989, Dr. Dorfman established Discus Dental Inc., now the worlds leading manufacturer in tooth whitening and oral hygiene dental products. Over his career he has received numerous awards and recognitions such as being named “The Best Dentist in Los Angeles” by Los Angeles Magazine and two lifetime achievement awards from the largest academies in dentistry. Recently, Dr. Dorfman has made appearances on ABC’s Extreme Makeover and NBC’s The Today Show.

Throughout his career William Dorfman has been passionate about giving back to the community. He dedicated much of his spare time to educating the public about the world of dentistry. He has also managed to raise and donate $15 million to over one hundred different children’s charities including St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and The Children’s Dental Center.
