Amy Pastor is best known as a carpenter on the hit TLC Show Trading Spaces. She has said to have broken down walls on the show, both literally, and as one of the first female carpenters on TV. After graduating from Penn State University, Amy immediately went to work as a carpenter, designing sets for several local theaters as well as traveling Broadway productions. Growing up Amy had starred in several television commercials, so when the opportunity came to work as a carpenter on Trading Spaces she jumped at it. Working on the show has given her the opportunity to combine her passion for carpentry with her first love of acting. Since joining the show in 2000, she hasn’t looked back. She claims that everyday is different and exciting and that the show allows her to show off her true creativity and talents.
