Christi Proctor has been interested in interior design her entire life. After graduating from Baylor University with a degree in interior design she went to work for architect Sterling Thomas, where she learned about building structures and architectural design. After holding a number of other jobs in the interior design and architecture industries, Christi decided to open her own design firm in 1991, Design Resources. Later, she decided to expand her interests by opening Spice Furniture and Design in Waco, Texas. Considered a trendy boutique emporium, Spice holds an impressive 30,000 square feet of individual shops as well as upscale furniture, antiques and clothing accessories. In 2003, Christi decided to expand her resume even more, by joining the cast of TLC’s Trading Spaces. Since joining the show, Christi has traveled all over the United States, redesigning rooms in as little as 48 hours. Today, since leaving the show, Christi continues to run both of her businesses, designing in homes and businesses all across Texas. In addition, she recently became a member of the American Interior Designers Society.
