Ed Del Grande is the DIY Network’s master plumber and contractor. He holds master licenses in pipe-fitting, fire protection, and plumbing. Growing up, his family owned their own plumbing business, so he spent most of his weekends and summers working for the family business. After graduating high school, Ed decided to pursue a career in comedy and acting. He spent most of time working construction by day and as a professional comedian by night. He quickly became a fixture on the comedy scene, and was eventually voted one of America’s funniest comedians, by Showtime and was selected to appear on ABC’s Americas Funniest People. He then decided to retire from comedy and put his passions for construction and acting together as host of several HGTV home improvement shows. He has since been the host several HGTV shows including Ed the Plumber, Warehouse Warriors, DIY Plumbing, Help on the Home front and I Did It With Duct Tape!
