Growing up Edward Walker always had a certain flair for style and an interest in art and design. After earning his undergraduate degree in art from Wingate University, Edward decided to move to New York City to attend the famed New York Fashion Institute of Technology. Over the next ten years he worked his way up through the design houses of New York City, developing a specialty in beaded gowns and formal wear. He even spent a brief time in publishing, working for the magazines that showcased his creations. Eventually, Edward decided to return to his roots and open a design firm in Raleigh, North Carolina where he spent most of his childhood. It was here that he decided to create a collection that combined his new metropolitan looks with his southern roots. While in North Carolina, Edward’s work caught the eyes of several of Trading Spaces producers. In 2001, just the second season of the show, Edward joined the cast and has been working with them ever since.
