A self-taught craftsman, Faber Dewar discovered at a very young age his true talent as a carpenter and furniture maker. Growing up he spent hours in the garage of his home building furniture and other things that could be used in his home. Faber eventually went to college in England where he decided to study his other passion, marine biology. After graduating, he moved to Hawaii, where he decided to pursue a career as a marine biologist, while still buying and restoring furniture on the side. Eventually, Faber began buying and restoring old houses throughout Hawaii as well. It was trough these projects that his work was discovered by the producers at TLC, who asked him to become one of the carpenters on the show. Faber spent over 9 seasons as a carpenter on the show, traveling all across the United States renovating rooms. Today, Faber continues to work as a carpenter and furniture builder, and has also started his own biodegradable packaging company. In addition, he also works as an actor, taking guest appearance roles in several hit TV shows and movies.
