Jai Rodriguez is known both for his successes on Broadway as well as his role as one of the Fab Five on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. His passion for acting began at a young age, when he would perform in church groups, in community theaters, for the Boces Cultural Arts Center as well as at his high school, Smithtown West on Long Island. At the age of seventeen, Jai’s talents were noticed by the producers of the Broadway show Rent, and he was asked to play the lead. While enjoying his theater successes, Jai also began to branch out into television and film acting. He spent some time working on the Soap Drama All My Children, and also on the film The New Guy. In addition, Jai has also hosted several television series including MTV’s Shower Power and Court TV’s The Jury. He has also hosted the Animal Planet Show Groomer Has It, as well as Ultimate Style on the Style Network.
