Joe Farrell Biography

Growing up Joe Farrell always knew he wanted to pursue a career in acting. Born in Muncie, Indiana, most of his childhood was spent on the road, as his family moved around a lot because of his father’s job. Eventually, Joe decided to attend Yale University, where he performed in numerous student musicals and sang in two make a capella groups, The Yale Alley Cats and the Yale Whiffenpoofs. Singing tenor for the groups, Joe has performed in front of both President Clinton and President George W. Bush. After graduating, Joe stayed with the groups for a tour that included nineteen countries on four continents. Once he returned to the United States, Joe was cast in the musical Titanic, where he embarked on a national tour. So, by the time Joe joined the cast of TLC’s Trading Spaces Family edition, he was already a seasoned traveler. As host of the show Joe often spends twenty days out of every month on the road with the cast. They travel across the United States, renovating and redesigning rooms.

Joe Farrell Appearance

Over his career Joe Farrell has made appearances in numerous television shows and musicals. He spent time on the cast of the production of The Pajama Game, as well as with Disney’s The Little Mermaid and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. His experience also includes regional theater, most notably playing lead roles in both A Little Night Music and The King of Hearts at the Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut. Finally, Joe has also had guest roles on several TV shows including Cupid.
