All his life Ken Batista has wanted to work in the entertainment industry. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in telecommunications and journalism, and immediately went on to work as the host of several bay area radio programs. In addition to his radio work he also hosted his own show on HGTV for a while, Landscape Smart. Ken is known by most people as host of California’s Channel Five News This Morning and Channel Five Eyewitness news at noon, where he has been since the early 1990’s. Over his career he has earned numerous awards and recognitions for his broadcasting talents, including honors from the Associated Press, United Press International, and the Peninsula Press Club. In 2008 he was also inducted into the San Francisco State University Hall of Fame.
