Marc Bartolomeo has been both a carpenter and electrician for the past 20 years. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Marc spent most of his free time working with his father, an auto-mechanic in their garage, or going out on jobs with his uncle, an electrician. Over the years Marc gained extensive knowledge and experience in both the mechanic and electrician fields. The entire time, Marc was always fascinated with tools and how things worked, and he always had a strong desire to help people. In 2002 he began working full time as a New York City electrician, while he managed to do some modeling work on the side. After being discovered by HGTV, Marc was soon cast as a carpenter on one of their shows. Since then he has become both a carpenter and host on the show In the Fix. Marc says In the Fix is his ideal job; it allows him to combine his love for construction with his television persona.
