Norm Abram is a carpenter and woodworker known by most for his work on the PBS programs This Old House and The New Yankee Workshop. Through the shows he is able to guide numerous viewers through the process of home renovation and furniture building. Norm claims to have been interested in carpentry most of his life, beginning as a young child when he would make toys for his younger sister. Since then Norm has come a long way; he was made his career out of carpentry work. In addition to hosting the PBS shows Norm has also written several how-to books on home renovation and furniture building. He is also a contributor to numerous home renovation magazines including This Old House Magazine. Finally, Norm can also been seen in a few television episodes of Where in the World is Carman San Diego and in several commercials.
