Ted Allen was the food and wine specialist on the Emmy Award winning show, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. In addition, he has been host of numerous other programs including Food Detectives on the Food Network and Uncorked: Wine Made Simple on PBS. Ted has also been a judge on every season of Bravo’s Top Chef and The Food Network’s Iron Chef America. He is also an accomplished author, recently releasing his second book The Food You Want to Eat: 100 Simple, Smart Recipes, as well as co-writing the New York Times Bestseller Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: The Fab Five’s Guide to Looking Better, Cooking Better, Dressing Better, Behaving Better and Living Better. For the past ten years Ted has also been a contributing editor to Esquire Magazine where he writes about everything from food to wine to style. In addition he also writes regularly for publications such as Bon Appétit and Epicurious.com.
