Valerie Bickford has always had a natural talent for interior design. As the oldest of seven, Valerie loved to keep the house in order and in style, but claims it was no easy task. She single handedly redesigned all of her siblings’ bedrooms, sewing the curtains, bedspreads, and pillow coverings, and painting all of the walls a ceilings. As a result Valerie preaches to homeowners that it doesn’t need to cost a lot of money to redesign a space, you can do it using objects you have around the house. Today, Valerie is the host of Makeover Mamas on A & E and a designer on TLC’s Clean Sweep. As a designer on Clean Sweep she helps homeowners de-clutter their spaces, and essentially redesign the room.
