William Moss has said, “Teaching is my vocation, but nature and gardening are my passions.” William began his professional career as a teacher, working in several of Chicago’s public schools. After a few years, William and his wife decided to enroll in the Chicago Master Gardeners Course, just for fun, but ever since nature and gardening has become his life. Today, he is a full-fledged urban gardener, with a roof deck, balcony containers, dozens of house plants, a local community plot, and a backyard oasis. In addition, William teaches about landscape and design at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. He is also host of two Discovery Channel Shows including Rally Round the House and Town Haul.

William Moss is an active member of the National Gardening Association. Each year he travels to different events and trade shows where he gives informative presentations about gardening and design. He also actively promotes the benefits of gardening and is working to get everyone involved. In addition he makes numerous television and radio appearances each year including CNN’s Weekend Live and Chicago land news programs. He is also currently working on creating a television series about landscape design for HGTV.
