Traded to the Minnesota Twins by the San Francisco Giants, the first Francisco Liriano appearance in Major League Baseball was in September 2005 against the Texas Rangers. Although Liriano began the 2006 season in Minnesota’s bullpen, he was called up to start in May and won his first three starts that season.
In 2006, Liriano won two Rookie of the Month awards and also became Pitcher of the Month. The same year, Liriano earned a spot on the AL’s All-Star roster and was a candidate for both the American League Cy Young and Rookie of the Year awards, two extremely impressive feats for a startingpitcher in his rookie season.

In addition to obvious Francisco Liriano speaker topics such as professional baseball and pitching, one of the more impressive aspects of Liriano’s personality is his resiliency. An example of this is taking place right now. Liriano was forced to miss the entire 2007 while recovering from Tommy John Surgery, and is now on his way back to a successful major league career.

In 2006, a Francisco Liriano appearance came in the All-Star game. And while his 2007 season was derailed due to injury, Liriano and his Twins fans are hoping for another Francisco Liriano appearance in an All-Star game to happen soon.
