Justin Morneau, voted AL MVP in 2006, is currently a member of the Minnesota Twins. Originally from British Columbia, he is considered one of the best Canadian first baseman of all time. In 2004 he became the Twins’ first baseman. In his first season, Morneau hit 19 home runs. The following year he dealt with some illness, but was still able to hit 22 home runs, finishing second on the team. His career is continuing to flourish, as he was named the Player of the Month in the American League. He also got the opportunity to play in the MLB All-Star Game.
