Biography

Sandy Koufax played his entire career for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers. His career included six of the most impressive seasons in the history of baseball, and today, his name is synonymous with great pitching.

In 1963, he was named the National League’s MVP. He also won the 1963, 1965, and 1966 Cy Young Awards by unanimous votes, and he earned the pitcher’s triple crown by leading the league in wins, strikeouts, and earned run average. Koufax became known as the second pitcher in baseball history to have two games with 18 or more strikeouts, and the first to have eight games with 15 or more strikeouts.

A Sandy Koufax appearance in the 1972 Baseball Hall of Fame election made him the Hall’s youngest member ever. That same year, his uniform number 32 was retired.

Koufax also had coaching stints for the Dodgers from 1979 to 1990. The Sporting News gave Koufax the 26th spot on its “The 100 Greatest Baseball Players.” That same year, he was named as one of the 30 players on the Major League Baseball All-Century Team.

Sandy Koufax Speaker

Sandy Koufax is considered one of the greatest pitchers in baseball, as he established one record after another during his 11-year career. As a result, a Sandy Koufax speaker appearance draws large crowds in anticipation of seeing the “man with the golden arm”.

Sandy Koufax Appearance

A Sandy Koufax appearance on the mound always terrified opposing hitters. However, his record number of strikeouts combined with his pin-point control made every Sandy Koufax appearance a treat for fans – so long as they weren’t fans of the opposing team.

Sandy Koufax Endorsement

Koufax is the first major leaguer to pitch more than three no-hitters, to average fewer than seven hits allowed per nine innings pitched in his career, and to strike out more than nine batters per nine innings pitched in his career. These records provide the true Sandy Koufax endorsement. Only an outstanding athlete could accomplish what Koufax did, and as a result, a Sandy Koufax endorsement brings unparalleled credibility of professionalism and talent in the sporting world.
