Biography

As early as his high school playing days, and Adrian Dantley appearance on the hardwood led to a successful campaign. Dantley played for the noted high school basketball powerhouse DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, and learned the game from legendary basketball coach Morgan Wootten.

Everything Dantley learned in high school helped him become one of the most successful players in Notre Dame basketball history. Dantley is currently second on the Notre Dame all time scoring list with 2,223 career points, and, in 1976, he was name the National Player of the Year.

With such successful high school and college careers, it was only natural for Dantley to have success as a professional. He was the NBA rookie of the year in 1977. However, to this day, Dantley is the only rookie of the year recipient in any major American sport to be traded after his first year. In fact, the first three years of his NBA career saw Dantley bouncing around the league until 1979 brought the first Adrian Dantley appearance to the Utah Jazz.

Although Dantley wouldn’t finish his career in Utah, he would play seven successful seasons there (six of which included All-Star appearances), and the Utah Jazz would eventually retire his #4 jersey.

Adrian Dantley Speaker

One of the most interesting Adrian Dantley speaker topics would be his role on the Notre Dame team’s stunning 1973 upset of UCLA to end their 88-game winning streak. To accomplish such a feat, Dantley and his Fighting Irish teammates had to not only outsmart legendary UCLA coach John Wooden, they also had to out-play the likes of Bill Walton, Jamaal Wilkes, and Dave Meyer.

Adrian Dantley Appearance

Another important Adrian Dantley appearance took place in 1976, when Dantley join the US Olympic team and helped them to a victory in the ’76 Montreal Summer Olympic Games.

Adrian Dantley Endorsement
