Title: Former Basketball Player and U.S. SenatorMost people are lucky if they make a name for themselves in one field, but Bill Bradley has distinguished himself in two. A Hall of Fame basketball player, Bradley became a household name for a second time in his career as a U.S. Senator for New Jersey and a democratic presidential candidate in 2000. Bradley played college ball at Princeton University, where he was the 1965 Player of the Year and a three-time All-American. Shortly before he graduated with honors as a Rhodes scholar, Bradley led the U.S. Olympic basketball team to a gold medal as team captain. During his second season as a pro on the New York Knicks, Bradley helped lead the team to their first NBA title, followed by its second in 1973. Bradley retired from the sport in 1977, and in 1978, he successfully won his first Senate bid. He remained in Congress until 1997, and he competed against Vice President Al Gore in the 2000 presidential primaries. He currently works as a corporate consultant in the private sector for non-profit organizations.
Bill Bradley’s performance on the court made him a legend among sports fans and his service on Capitol Hill for nearly two decades earned him even more supporters. A Bill Bradley appearance would add prestige and buzz to any event, and TSE can help make that a reality.
Bill Bradley Speaker
As a former senator, Bill Bradley speaker topics often include issues he is passionate about, such as tax reform, child support, children’s health, child poverty, gun control, campaign finance and budget reform, in addition to basketball of course.
Bill Bradley Appearance
The name Bill Bradley appeared on bookshelves in early 2007 with the publication of his second book, “The New American Story.” Other than that, Bradley has mostly stayed out of the public eye, which means a Bill Bradley appearance at any event would be eagerly anticipated.
Bill Bradley Endorsement
As a presidential candidate in 2000, Bill Bradley endorsements came from many corners, including former New York governor Mario Cuomo and Hall of Fame basketball coach and best friend Phil Jackson. A Bill Bradley endorsement carries weight because the man is so respected as both a sports icon and politician.
