BJ Armstrong had a stellar career in collegiate basketball as the Hawkeyes’ all-time leader in assists with 517. He also ranked third on the school’s all-time steals list (178) and fourth in total points (1,705).

The first BJ Armstrong appearance in the NBA was with the Chicago Bulls in 1989, where he was selected in the first round of that year’s NBA Draft. He helped the team return to the Eastern Conference Finals in 1989 to 1990.
