For one of the superb scorers in the history of women’s basketball, Blazejowski didn’t start as a serious player, only joining competitive basketball in her senior year of high school. She went on to become a three-time All-American in college, as well as winning the 1978 Wade Trophy as the country’s finest collegiate woman’s basketball player. During the 1976 to 1977 and the 1977 to 1978 season, she led the nation in scoring, with 40 or more points in each of her last three games.
