Often referred to as the “Al Maguire of Women’s Basketball,” Cathy Rush’s tenure as a women’s basketball head coach might have been short, but it had a huge and lasting impact. The only Cathy Rush appearance as a collegiate head coach lasted six short years, from 1972 until 1977. Still, during that brief stretch, Rush led Immaculata to three consecutive AIAW national titles. During that stint, Rush’s team also made the Final Four every year, and her teams played in the national championship game in every year but one.
Cathy Rush Speaker
While the list of Cathy Rush speaker topics surely includes her impressive, if brief, career as a head coach for Immaculata, another interesting Cathy Rush speaker topic is her battle with and defeat of breast cancer.
Cathy Rush Appearance
In addition to being head coach at Immaculata, there was a Cathy Rush appearance as head coach for the 1975 U.S. Women’s basketball team at the Pan American games where she lead the team to a gold medal finish.
Cathy Rush Endorsement
As a breast cancer survivor, a Cathy Rush endorsement would be perfect for any organization or company seeking to promote breast cancer awareness.
