Title: Basketball PlayerAs a junior in high school, Lynette Woodard was asked by the school’s varsity basketball coach if she would join the team. That’s how good Woodard was. Those skills she learned playing for the varsity boys team helped her excel in college at the University of Kansas, where she was a four time All-American and scored 3,649 points in her career.
When Woodard graduated, there was no American professional women’s basketball league. But that didn’t stop her from continuing to play the game. Instead of playing in a professional women’s league, there was a Lynette Woodard appearance for the Harlem Globetrotters, becoming the first female member in the team’s history.
Woodard would eventually go on to play professional basketball in Italy and Japan before finally returning to the United States and joining the newly founded WNBA, thus allowing her to accomplish her goal of playing professional basketball in America.
Lynette Woodard Speaker
As the first female to play with the Harlem Globetrotters, a Lynette Woodard speaker appearance will be an opportunity to learn what it was like being the only female among a famously rowdy group of guys.
Lynette Woodard Appearance
There was also a Lynette Woodard appearance in the Olympics. As a member of the 1984 United States’ women’s basketball team, Woodard helped take home the gold in Los Angeles.
Lynette Woodard Endorsement
Woodard’s determination to play professionally in the states helped her finally reach her dream at the age of 38. This kind of determination makes a Lynette Woodard endorsement a powerful tool for a company trying to promote perseverance and dedication.
