With a style and charm all his own, Basketball Hall of Famer Walt “Clyde” Frazier is one of the true greats of the NBA. The Atlanta native attended Southern Illinois University and quickly became one of the brightest stars in college basketball. He led the Salukis to an NIT Championship in 1967 (back when that was a big deal) and then was drafted in the first round by the New York Knicks, for whom he played most of his professional career. An NBA All-Star seven times and MVP of the 1975 All-Star Game, Walt Frazier was part of two NBA championship teams in 1970 and 1973. His number 10 was retired by the Knicks and hangs from the rafters at Madison Square Garden. Now a broadcaster for his former team, Walt Frazier is still one of the most popular NBA figures.
