Biography

As a longtime radio announcer, Jon Miller has witnessed some of the most memorable moments in baseball history. In fact, it was Jon Miller who called Barry Bonds’ record-breaking 756th career homerun to pass Hank Aaron on August 7, 2007. Miller has also contributed play-by-play commentary for 10 World Series for ESPN Radio and makes frequent appearances on TV on both ESPN and ESPN2. The San Francisco native graduated from the College of San Mateo and kicked off his career in 1974 by calling games for the Oakland Athletics. In addition to baseball, Miller has worked the radio broadcasts of basketball, hockey and soccer games, several of which garnered him national exposure. He has manned the announcing booth for the Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles but has been installed in the press box of the San Francisco Giants since 1997 as the play-by-play man for KNBR radio.

Jon Miller’s voice may be what he’s most famous for, but a live Jon Miller appearance will surely draw a crowd to any event. TSE can save you time, money and effort by handling all the Jon Miller speaker negotiations for you.

Jon Miller Appearance

Aside from the press box, Jon Miller appearances have occurred in the television show “Cheers,” the movies “Summer Catch” and “*61” and as the play-by-play announcer in the video game series MLB2K. The name Jon Miller appeared on bookshelves as the co-author of “Confessions of a Baseball Purist: What’s Right – and Wrong – With Baseball, As Seen From the Best Seat in the House.”
