There is not much that Dan Reeves hasn’t done in the sport of football. The Georgia native played his college ball at the University of South Carolina, where he played quarterback and ultimately was inducted into the Gamecocks’ Hall of Fame. Then it was on to the NFL, where Reeves played eight seasons for the Dallas Cowboys and won a Super Bowl as a running back. He then became an assistant under coach Tom Landry and helped the Cowboys get to three more Super Bowls.

In 1981, at the age of just 37, Reeves became the youngest ever NFL coach at the time when he took the reins of the Denver Broncos. In more than a decade in Denver he took the Broncos to three Super Bowls, although the Broncos failed to win a championship. After leaving Denver, Reeves turned around the New York Giants and won a Coach of the Year Award. He took that honor again with the Atlanta Falcons, which had been one of the worst teams in the league until Reeves led them to a 14-2 record and an appearance in the Super Bowl XXXIII (where ironically the Falcons lost to the Broncos). Reeves is now a sports broadcaster with Westwood One.
