Biography

Although he is perhaps best known as a college and NBA head coach, the first basketball-related Larry Brown appearance came as a point guard for Frank McGuire and Dean Smith at the University of North Carolina. Upon graduation, Brown was widely considered “too small” to play professional basketball, but that didn’t stop him. Instead of joining the NBA, Brown found his way to the fledgling ABA and quickly became one of the league’s dominant point guards.

However, in the end, professional basketball would not suit Larry Brown. Coaching would. Brown took up a post as a head coach in the ABA before returning to the NCAA where he coached both UCLA and Kansas. Brown took Kansas all the way to the national championship, only to leave shortly after to become an NBA head coach.

In the NBA, Larry Brown was equally successful, eventually delivering the Detroit Pistons to the 2004 NBA championship and becoming the only coach in basketball history to win both an NCAA Championship and an NBA Championship.

Today, a Larry Brown appearance on the sidelines takes place at every Charlotte Bobcats game. Widely regarded as one of the game’s best teachers, many people expect Brown to take the young expansion team and turn them into a perennially winner like he’s done with so many other backetball clubs.

Larry Brown Speaker

While a Larry Brown speaker appearance might focus on his coaching days, you shouldn’t forget that Brown can also provide plenty of insight on being a player and playing in important games. For example, not only did Larry Brown coach the US Olympic team in 2004, he was actually a point guard for the US Olympic team in 1964.

Larry Brown Appearance

A Larry Brown appearance on the sidelines has taken place all over the country since Brown has been a head coach for 13 basketball teams including, the Denver Nuggets, the Kansas Jayhawks, the New York Knicks, and the Charlotte Bobcats.

Larry Brown Endorsement

Because Coach Brown has been at the helm of so many different basketball teams, he’s an instantly recognized personality in the world of sports, which makes a Larry Brown endorsement a powerful tool for capturing your audience’s attention and getting noticed.
