Title: College Football Head CoachFor a rookie head coach to take over a college football program like Georgia might be intimidating to some, but not Mark Richt. Although his first season in 2001 with the Bulldogs was mediocre (at least by Georgia standards) with an 8-4 record, the Bulldogs roared back the next season with a 13-1 record, a Sugar Bowl victory and a #3 national ranking. Since then Georgia has remained a top challenger for the national title, and Richt has established himself as one of the premier coaches in the game. Born in Omaha, Richt attended the University of Miami, where he played quarterback behind the great Jim Kelly. His first coaching job was on Bobby Bowden’s staff at Florida State, where he helped develop Heisman Trophy winners Charlie Ward and Chris Weinke. Then Richt finally got his shot at the big time with the Bulldogs, and he certainly has capitalized on the opportunity. Richt and his wife, Katharyn, are the parents of four children, including two adopted from the Ukraine, and their oldest child Jonathan is a quarterback at Clemson.
Between watching film, recruiting and all the other duties of a college football head coach, Mark Richt is a very busy man. But TSE can stand out from the crowd and help you land a Mark Richt speaking appearance or Mark Richt endorsement.
Mark Richt Speaker
Obviously the Georgia football program has some talented players, but they are quick to credit Mark Richt the speaker as the spark that motivates them to reach new heights.
Mark Richt Appearance
Although the first Mark Richt appearance in a bowl game ended in defeat, the coach has since raised the trophies for the Sugar Bowl (twice), Capital One Bowl and Outback Bowl.
