The only coach to ever take three different teams to the Final Four, Rick Pitino has been a winner everywhere he has been. His first took Providence to an unlikely Final Four appearance in 1987 with a team featuring Billy Donovan, who later on would become the head coach at Florida and guide them to a national championship. After Providence, Rick Pitino went to the NBA and coached the New York Knicks before heading to Kentucky to take over the Wildcats program. He made Kentucky a fixture in the Final Four and in 1996 won a national title. Then it was on to the NBA, where he coached the Boston Celtics for four seasons. But his passion is for college basketball, and Rick Pitino made a triumphant return as he has resurrected the Louisville program and took the Cardinals to the Final Four in 2005.
