Title: Former Women’s Soccer Coach & WUSA CommissionerTony DiCicco has won both World Cup and Olympic gold and is also the winningest coach in U.S. soccer history. In 1996, he led the U.S. team to their first gold medal in Olympic women’s soccer. Three years later, DiCicco led the U.S. women’s team to a dramatic first place finish over China in the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup. He served as the interm commissioner for the Women’s United Soccer Association in 2000.
Aside from being a head coach, Tony also played professional soccer himself in the American Soccer League with the Connecticut Wildcats and Rhode Island Oceaneers.
These days, Tony is the goalkeeper specialist for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and also conducts U.S. Soccer and NCSAA national licensing camps.
