The first Bob Burnquist appearance on the professional skateboarding scene was at the age of 14, but he became adept at skateboarding at age 11.
Burnquist’s specialty is switch stance skateboarding. He has a signature trick called the “one-footed smith grind.” There has been a Bob Burnquist appearance in a number of X-Games Skateboarding events, as well as all of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater sequels except for Pro Skater 3. He returned as a featured character in the series starting again with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 and has since appeared in all the series games following that.
In 2000, Burnquist won the X-Games’ best trick contest with his famous fakie 5-0, fakie Kickflip out off of the grind bar. Burnquist has also won a gold medal on the 2005 X-Games Best Trick vert contest.
Burnquist is perhaps best known for completing a BASE jump after attempting a 50-50 into the Grand Canyon., even though the first attempt nearly cost him his life. His second attempt was successful, and the stunt was featured in an episode of the television show Stunt Junkies.
Bob Burnquist Speaker
If you think a Bob Burnquist speaker appearance is only suitable for skateboarding events, wait until you hear him talk about the Bob Burnquist Foundation. A Bob Burnquist speaker appearance can also be a venue to talk about organic farming and gardening to schools. And as one of the founders of the Action Sports Environmental Coalition, a Bob Burnquist speaker appearance can include discussions of ecological awareness to skateboarders, surfers, and BMX riders.
Bob Burnquist Appearance
Burnquist is the only skater to go over a loop ramp with a gap in it, and is the first skater to go through a loop while riding switch stance, and the first to go all the way around a full pipe just by pumping up to speed inside it. A Bob Burnquist appearance made all those possible, as he has always tried to find new ways to make his tricks more creative and more difficult.
Bob Burnquist Endorsement
Burnquist gained even more popularity during the vert contest at the 2001 X-Games, when he managed a flawless run featuring multiple never-before seen tricks. The display was so impressive, commentator Tony Hawk went hoarse from screaming his praise. Burnquist’s success helped him earn a 98, the highest score ever given in skateboard vert. This was the biggest competition he has ever won, and while Burnquist will always be remembered for it, your product will always be remembered for a Bob Burnquist endorsement.
