Dave Mirra is a vert ramp and park rider who holds the record for most X-Games medals and standings. He is also known for winning a medal in every X-Games since they started in 1995. As of August 2007, his X-Games medal count is 32.

As a child, Mirra developed a love for riding his bike, imitating the tricks of his hero, Dennis McCoy. By the age of 16, he was inventing new tricks on his own, allowing him to eventually become a professional BMX athlete.
