Biography

The first Mat Hoffman appearance on the freestyle BMX circuit was as an amateur at the age of 13. He turned pro at age 16, making him the youngest pro rider.

Hoffman’s career is brimming with fantastic achievements and stunts. He once took his bike base-jumping off 3,500-foot Norwegian cliffs. In 2002, he set the record for the highest assisted “air” on a bike, a feat which was eventually included in the 2004 Guinness Book of World Records. The record remained unbeaten for several years until Kevin Robinson, under Hoffman’s assistance, broke it.

Hoffman Promotions became even more successful through the years, which led to the establishment of Hoffman Sports Association. HSA is the leader of Freestyle BMX events worldwide, including ESPN’s X Games.

In 2001, Hoffman won the bronze at the X Games. The following year, he amazed the BMX world by setting another record of completing the first-ever no-handed 900 at the X Games. He won second place in the process.

In 2005, Hoffman became the President of the International BMX Freestyle Federation, the organization that governs BMX Freestyle, which also holds partnership with Union Cyclists International, the bicycle governing body for the International Olympic Committee.

Mat Hoffman Speaker

A Mat Hoffman speaker appearance can also include discussions of his achievements in the business world. He began his own company, Hoffman Promotions, which assembled a team of the best freestyle BMX riders and began organizing show tours such as the Sprocket Jockey Bicycle Stunt Team. Hoffman also decided to design and build his own bikes. He created a second business, Hoffman Bikes, to do so.

Mat Hoffman Appearance

Hoffman has produced, directed, and hosted several television shows for ESPN, worked on video games, and has been involved in a number of film projects. There was also a Mat Hoffman appearance as a guest in Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide and in an episode of Max Steel.

Mat Hoffman Endorsement

Nicknamed “The Condor,” Hoffman is considered one of the best vert ramp riders in the history of the sport. Known for being a true stunt innovator, a key player in building the sport of BMX Freestyle, and especially popular for his unusually high tolerance for pain, a Mat Hoffman endorsement will provide your company with the support of one of the most recognizable names in the X-Games industry.
