Many of motorsport’s tricks are inventions of the great Travis Pastrana, the sport’s world champion at age 14. He has won championships and X Games gold medals in supercross, motocross, freestyle motocross, and rally racing. A Travis Pastrana appearance in the 2006 X Games 12 led him to become the first rider to land a double backflip in competition, winning his first Moto X Best Trick Gold Medal. Pastrana also captured the 2006 Rally America National Series Overall and Open Class Championship in the Lake Superior Performance Rally. By the end of the 2006 series, Pastrana’s team finished with another first-place victory at the Wild West Rally. Pastrana also competed at the 2006 Race of Champions at the Stade de France in Paris, and he was also the sole representative of the US in the Nations Cup.
