While Lawrence Taylor grabbed a lot of headlines for his performances both on and off the field, his teammate Harry Carson was just as important to the New York Giants teams of the late 1970s and 1980s. In contrast to L.T., Carson quietly went about his work without causing any controversy, but he certainly caused havoc for opposing offenses. The linebacker out of South Carolina was elected to nine NFL Pro Bowls and was an important part of the Giants team that won Super Bowl XXI.
