John Kasay was drafted to the NFL in 1991 by the Seattle Seahawks. After playing for them for four years, he left, leaving the team with the highest field goal percentage in the team’s history. In 1995 Kasay signed with the Carolina Panthers. He held the record for three years as 37 field goals in one season. In addition, he was later chosen to play in the Pro Bowl as the NFC kicker.

Kasay holds a few records in the NFL. He is the third of all-time for field goals made over fifty plus yards. He also holds the record of the team’s all-time highest scoring lead, as well as owns or is tied for every team’s kicking record. John Kasay has definitely proved himself an important player to have around and is currently still going strong with the Carolina Panthers.
