Biography

Marv Levy has been a successful football coach for more than five decades, and he’s still going strong in his 80s. A Chicago native, Levy got his first college football coaching job as an assistant at Coe College in Iowa, and before long he moved up the ranks and became head coach at the University of New Mexico. After turning that program around, he had stints at the University of California and the College of William and Mary before taking his playbook to the NFL and serving as an assistant with the Eagles, Rams and Redskins. Then it was north to Canada, where Levy took the head-coaching job for the Montreal Alouettes and guided them to a pair of Grey Cups (the CFL version of the Super Bowl). Always on the move, Levy coached in the USFL and had a stint with the Kansas City Chiefs before landing with the team he is generally associated with – the Buffalo Bills. Levy turned the Bills into a perennial powerhouse, and with Jim Kelly at quarterback, Thurman Thomas at running back and Bruce Smith on defense, he went to four consecutive Super Bowls. And even though an NFL championship eluded him, that feat of four straight AFC championships has never been matched, either before or since. After hanging up his coaching headset in 1997, Levy returned to the head-coaching position of the Bills in 2006 and is working on turning them into a contender once again.

Just as Marv Levy is loaded with coaching experience, TSE has plenty of experience arranging appearances by the biggest names in the sporting world. If you want a Marv Levy endorsement or Marv Levy speaker appearance, contact us today.
