As the second overall pick in the 2004 NFL draft, by the Oakland Raiders, Robert Gallery had the highest draft prospect rating for any offensive lineman. He played college football for the University of Iowa and as a sophomore he started every game at left tackle. In 2002, Gallery helped Iowa to their first Big-Ten title in 12 years and first undefeated conference season in 80 years.

After being drafted by the Raiders, he started 15 games at right tackle and gave up 3 sacks. In 2005 the Raiders decided to move Robert to left tackle which didn’t prove very successful since he was part of an offensive line that gave up 9 sacks. Since he was dominating at right tackle, Oakland switched him back to that position in 2007.
