After the World Football League folded in 1975, Vince Papale tried out for the Philadelphia Eagles. Vince made the team and became the oldest rookie in the history of the NFL. For 4 seasons, Vince played with the Eagles as a wide receiver and was voted Special Teams Captain by his teammates.

In 1978, Vince was voted Man of the Year by the Eagles because of his charitable work off of the field. Vince was a radio and TV broadcaster for 8 years after he retired from the game of football.
