Vinny Testaverde holds an NFL record for most seasons having thrown a touchdown pass with 21 consecutive seasons. But success didn’t just happen on the pro level. It began early and happened often since he was a part of the University of Miami’s quarterback dynasty. He played an important role in the university’s rise as one of the top collegiate football programs of the 1980s and 1990s. In 1986, Testaverde won the Heisman Trophy, an award annually given by the Downtown Athletic Club to the most outstanding player in collegiate football.
